XV International Numismatic Congress
Every six years, the International Numismatic Council, founded in 1927, organizes an International Congress in one of the member countries that brings together numismatists and scholars in related fields, curators of coin cabinets and museums, coin lovers, collectors and students from all over the world.
The last time the Congress took place in Italy was in 1961 in Rome. The next one will be in Taormina, Sicily, September 21 – 25, 2015, organized by the University of Messina, under the leadership of Maria Caccamo Caltabiano in collaboration with other Italian Universities.
